Department Of EEE Organized A Workshop For II, III & IV Year EEE Students On “Design Of Electrical Vehicles”

EVENT OUTCOME:

• The need of electric vehicles and various design features of electrical vehicles are covered in this workshop as introduction session.
• The technical details covered are as follows, The basic tool to building the electrical vehicles are BLDC motor, Battery and Control board; the basic things of building the electrical vehicles and the type of motor used in the electric vehicle, the various parts in the electric vehicle; the different between the fuel based vehicles and electrical vehicles and the advantage and disadvantages of the electrical vehicles.
• The demo sessions were also provided by the resource person during this workshop in which equipments and parts of the electric vehicle was shown physically and explanation was given in very clear level.
• The participants gained technical knowledge which are as follows: the control boards connection to motor, battery, head light, charging point and other part of the vehicle; the battery types and the minimum voltage, current to the vehicle and the types of battery like Li-ion battery, Lithium phosphate battery, Lithium per phosphate battery, sensors used in the control board and it’s working; increase the speed by varying using the throttle.
